How can i find the right foundation color?

What i try is either too light or too dark and makes me look ridiculous. Any suggestions? How can i find the right foundation color?
Don't test make up on the back of your hand!!!! When picking out a foundation it should match your cheeck/neck line. It is for your face not your hand. People are usually darker on their hands anyway. Then you will have a line of demarcation using dark foundation on a lighter face. (BASE FACE). I always go for something natural. if you are warm toned (hzl, brown, dark eyes)get a shade closest to your skin. If you are a cool tone (light blue, green) get a shade that is a little darker. Colors that say beige on the name are for darker skin tones. If you use one of these and are light complected get one that says beige neutral or beige light neautral. You can go to Dillards, penny's, Palais Royal to their make up counter and have someone put make up on you. If you think it looks good, you can ask them what they used and buy it. This is good if you have allergies. Then you won't buy the product if it breaks you out. Good luck. How can i find the right foundation color?
try covergirl. It might do good
I would suggest going to a department store and picking one of the better lines such as Lancome or Estee Lauder. Have them try several shades on the side of your face. It should blend in perfectly and not show. Since the lighting in most department stores is glaring, walk outside and check the makeup in natural lighting before you purchase it. Lighting makes a big difference I have found. Most of the counters will give you samples of the shade to try before you buy.
mix the 2 light and 2 dark 2gether,until u got da perfect color. it'll take 4ever, but it's worth it cause guys wont look at u with a strange face
Go to the make up counter and try all the samples.
The same color with your neck skin, gal!

DON'T EVER TRY ALL COLORS, YOUR FACE IS VERY PRECIOUS! :))
If you've got an Elder Bearmen where you live, they are really helpful with finding the right make up for you. They let you try before you buy, and if you take it home and deciede you dont like it, you can bring it back and exchange it. I would go with Clinique personally, they have a big variety and they're fairly cheap. Another way is to test it on the back of your hand. You shouldnt be able to see the veins in your hand, but also shouldnt see a color change between your skin and the make up.
