How to find your foundation color with drugstore brands?

Obviously you can't open the packaging and test out the colors, so what's the best way to find your color? I really don't waste my money and end up with a drawer full of foundation that use.How to find your foundation color with drugstore brands?
Why aren't you taking the shades that don't work for you back to the store? If you keep your reciept you should have no problem returning them if it doesn't work for you.How to find your foundation color with drugstore brands?
Yes! Foundation is expensive! If I were you, I would recommend avoiding foundation all together, even the ones that claim not to clog your pores are still going to, to some degree. It takes a toll on people's skin over time. The people (cosmetologists) who say it doesn't just want to sell you the product. Try to get used to wearing blush without foundation. You probably don't have blotchy skin, so I'm sure you'd look fine without it!
They should have a tester there that you can use. If not, then why don't you just buy the same shade you did before? It should be ok.

Or, try the Almay brand. They have a new smart foundation that is white, but changes to the perfect colour you need once you put it on. I was going to buy that the other day, but they were sold out.
oye thats why I ask the mac ppl who are makeup artists and buy their product. If you want, just before you run out of the mac foundation, you can then bring the mac product to the drugstore and try to match the colour.
If I can't open it.. which I don't like to do anyways. You never want to take home something that a ton of other people put their hands in... I hold the bottle up to my face and jawline and look in their mirrors. Sometimes they have packaging to where you can't even see the bottle which is pointless!... so I compare to other shades in the same brand's other foundations. I had to do that with Covergirls older TruBlend... because the bottle was hidden. I compared the shade to their Clean Makeup and it turned out fine :). Sometimes they even have charts that will help you out too.
I figure if the drug stores are too stupid to have testers than I just return it as many times as I need to. That's incredibly wasteful but money is hard to come by and if they can afford to have this system that is ridiculous than I guess they will have to deal with all the returns. I have actually bought something walked outside, didn't like it , and walked right back in and returned it. Companies are probably thinking you'll lose the receipt and be stuck with it. There is no possible way to know if it is your color. What do they expect??
ok so if you go to nordstrom and they will find you perfect color even though the foundation is like 40 bucks but trust me its worth it! it covers evrything! the brand name is ';laura mercier';! !
Go to a drug store that has testers and try them on your hand to match them with your skin colour
dont use cheap walmart foundation...try aveda that has a hint of color while it moisturizes and protect against solar rays
