I have light-medium skin tone with yellow undertone. I've gotten l'oreal true match and warm tone has an orange tint and neutral it too beige. For cover girl Buff beige is a shade too light and soft honey is a shade too dark so what is the color in between. How to find the right foundation color?
Seriously, go to a makeup counter in a store like JC Penny or Filene's or Macy's and just try out a bunch of different shades. You can only be positive that you're buying the right color if you've tried it beforehand. How to find the right foundation color?
Go to a cosmetic counter ia a dept. store. They have free color matching. There are many colors that need to be tried. They will color stripe you and find the best match and it will be done for you free.
No-one ever has the exact match- u'd b vry lucky if u do!
It's just a case of experimentiny and finding the right one. Sum ppl say to choose the darker one- but then it's obvious (unless blending well) If u buy a lighter one- u can still see things. Sumtimes it's best to buy a cheaper one, but the one that is darker and the one thats lighter and mix them. U could try Natural Beige from cover girl or try this website- it has all the foundation colours for Cover Girl:

Hope i helped.
when i read some ';choosing the right foundation color'; from the internet, they always suggest to try applying it first around your jaw line. once it dried up and when the color disappears, it is the right color for you! although, this tip is just applicable for liquid foundation. 'hope that helps!=)
I had this problem forever! Then I found something that changed my make up routine. Philosophy's ';The Present';. It's a clear foundation. It's not a make up primer. It's foundation that is clear and it makes my face look flawless! It evens out my skin tone and somehow covers little bumps and lines plus my natural color comes through. I was so surprised! And my skin is healthier since using it. You can find it at sephora, drugstore.com and philosophy.com. They make really great stuff!
Test on jawline and blend. Make sure you right down what brand in shade are located where. Left-center-right. Walk around for ten minutes and check. Sometimes color changes with our skin chemistry and what looked perfect just put on could have gotten darker. What seemed light now is invisible or what looked.
Narrow choices down by figuring out your skin type (dry oily normal) and looking for that shade in the right formula.
try MAC foundation, theres alot of diffr shade, two tones, a yellowish n pinkish. get the yellow tone so it blends with ur yellow skin, get a tone lighter than your skin, cuz after it settles n especially oily areas it will turn a shade darker. if u get the exact shade to your skin, at the middle of the day u will find your face darker than your neck color.
