My face is a very strange color foundation ideeas?

Okay ive tried everything even remotely close to my skin color and it is all too dark or too light i also have acne and when i put foundation on it shows dry skin i didnt even know was there! My face has a red tint from the acne and I dont know how to stop my face from looking cakey! Any ideas? My face is a very strange color foundation ideeas?
I have weird skin too. Im asian but when makeup artist suggest foundations with yellow undertones, it looks so fake, dark, or orange.

Anyhoo, I suggest you use a good concealer for your acne spots and a green primer

I know it looks freaky but it will really tone the redness down

To smooth it out I would use a mineral make up powder, the only problem with those is it doesnt last long.

Good luck %26amp; Hope I helped :)My face is a very strange color foundation ideeas?
Well, one rule for people who have acne, is to never use a liquid foundation. Alot of people do, and don't understand why there acne doesn't go away. I recommend Mineral Powder by Maybeline. You can buy it all walmart. Also purchase a toner that suits you. Find one that is designed for helping acne and red spots, shouldn't be that hard to find. Use some cover up underneath your foundation. Try a powdery creamy cover up, but don't use it all over, or all the time, only when you need to look really nice. Only apply it over the acne areas.
I have the exact same problem, and as a makeup artist, it's EXTREMELY frustrating!

First of all, what foundation brand(s) are you using? Have you tried L'Oreal True Match? If not, you definitely should! If that fails, go to a cosmetics counter or a MAC store and ask them for help choosing the right shade.

As for the dry skin, exfoliate 2-3 times a week and always moisturize. Use a moisturizer specified for acne prone skin.

You can also add moisturizer to your foundation, which makes it more natural and dewy looking. I suggest using Cetaphil (moisturizer). Start by mixing a quarter- sized drop of foundation with 1 pump of Cetaphil, mix together. Use a CLEAN, damp makeup sponge to apply the foundation to your entire face. Then use concealer on the blemishes. Next, use a clean dry brush to set your foundation with powder. Apply it only to your t-zone and when your face gets shiny, use blotting papers rather than applying more powder.

If you find that this is still too thick looking, you can use either more moisturizer in your foundation, or get one of the foundations that changes from white to your skin colour. I find that they don't work that well, but my problem with it was that my skin is just way too pale for most makeup brands, so it didn't match.

Rule number one. If you have acne use powder! I suggest a mineral powder that you can just get from any store. But make sure it isn't too cheap, because cheap brands don't work. Also, with mineral powders you build up your coverage so you don't have ot look cakey. It will also help control your acne. You could also look for a mineral makeup where you mix colours together to make your own shade if you are having trouble with a shade.

Try and get a hold on your acne. I used to have acne and started using Red Rice forumla fash cleanser, toner and moisturiser from L'occitane twice a day and it's 3 weeks later and I don't have any acne.
A suggestion is to try a non-comedogenic moisturizer which u can buy at any store counter, apply the moisturizer before you put on the make-up. If you continue to have problems with finding the color shade for your face, i recommend going to a professional and asking them to give you a face match. I have the same problem with redness due to acne so I use a mineralizing powder. I'm a huge fan of MAC cosmetics because of the atmosphere and help they provide. Hope this helps!!
google Dinair Airbrush Makeup...ive been using them for 2 years now and i LOVE it...it makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin. the cool thing is it is super easy to mix 2 colors or more to get ur exact color...i sent them an e-mail with my picture and they e-mailed me back with the colors to get. Its amazing makeup...hope i helped...=)
have a few zits and my face has a redish tone but i found that a oil free foundation/powder by Cover Girl works really well for me.
