apply 2 or 3 shades and line them on your jaw line. then slowly blend each shade with diffrerent fingers so you wont mess up the colours. after which you check and see which shade blends better with your skin. How can you find your ';color'; in foundation/powders?

I find that the best place to test out the color of a foundation with my skin is on my wrist about an inch from the palm of my hand. Even with a tan, the color matches almost perfectly, but the key to finding the right foundation is to test and see on your skin. But this should give you a hint as to what shade/colors would be best suited for you
the closest one to Ur skin colour. U can easily check it on the colour chart available on each beauty store. or can consult to a beautition.
you should try a test patch on the underpart of your forearm, between the wrist and the elbow.
when your looking bring someone you can trust with it and try it on your hand if your hand and your face arent the same color hold the bottle up to your skin and ask the prson you brought with you
When you're at a store, find some that look close to the color of the skin on your hand, and then find a mirror and hold the foundation up to your face. Closest color wins!
put the color on ur finger or on somthin and have somebody look at the color on ur face and that should tell u

You need to try Mac it works very good matter of fact Mac has the best beauty products in the world.
I have very light skin and it is hard for me to find the right color too, ivory is too light and beige is too yellow. Your absolute best bet is to go into a department store make-up counter and ask the sales girl to help you pick one (there is no fee for this service). IF she is knowledgeable then she will know to try it on your jawline. Look in the mirror and pick the one you like best, not her! The foundation is pricey but it is your best bet. Either that or go to somewhere like CVS or Walgreens where you can return your makeup if you don't like it but save that receipt!!!!
Ive yet to figure this out....Ive never found one that TRUELY matched me.
Everyone tests foundation out on their hands but the best ways is to put the three closest shades on your cheek and then you'll find your match.
If you try a Mary- kay foundation they have color swatches, and its awsome foundation. Every foundation is different. Like with Mary Kay I wear an Ivory 200 but with cover girl Im buff beige.
when your in a shop try it on your wrist
You can see colors at www.marykay.com and you can find a local girl and she'll come match your foundation for you and give you a free facial
well u can try tomatch the color with ur skincolor or if there are sample try it on ur wrist or like mayblline they have this chart u can compare from the chart or ask the beauty consultions over there
i have answer for you, just hold the color up to your skin and you'll be able to see what your skin tone is and then match your color to it.
