How do i pick the right color shade foundation?

am i supopost to do swatches on my face while at the store(drug store)?How do i pick the right color shade foundation?
if you go to a department store, first choose the brand of preference and then ask the counter lady to find the right color and foundation type for you, I always use clinique, LOVE THEM!!! but sometimes, I go to Walgreens and the cosmetics lady has helped me to find the shade for me cause she had some testers but they are not always as nice as that one, maybe you can ask the cosmetic lady in the drugstore if after opening the product it doesnt match, if you can return it, hope u can, good luck! ah! u can also try almay smart shade, its supposed to adapt to match your skin tone or revlon custom creations foundation, well good luckHow do i pick the right color shade foundation?
normally there are numbers that let you know really light, really dark, in between, and you can normally test some on your hand or arm or something to see, and depending on the store, you may be able to get someone to help you pick the right shade sometimes, there are testers that you can use, also depending on the store, or what they have in, plus i don't normally use them, if they go on lips or something, because everyone else has put them there too, that's another thing you can put on your hand
you really shouldnt open and use drugstore cosmetics.


i tried on a lipgloss 1 time and they asked me to leave the aisle
take some and put it on the back of your hand (it's almost the same as your face)
put some 0on the back of ur hand or the inside of ur wrist
test different kinds to find out which one you like better!
